Eastbound I-80 connector to I-5 in Sacramento blocked by big rig

An overturned big rig is blocking freeway traffic Monday morning in Sacramento. The big rig is on its side and blocking the eastbound Interstate 80 connector to Interstate 5. Southbound I-5 traffic is being allowed, and motorists are trickling through, but no traffic is making its way through the I-80 connector lane to I-5. Traffic logs from the California Highway Patrol indicate that a Sigalert is in effect, which is issued when extended traffic delays or closures are expected. CHP’s traffic logs also state that a tow truck has been requested and is en route.
