December started with the season’s first full inch of snow at the Spokane International Airport, but now, quiet conditions linger through Wednesday.
Temperatures will stay cold with highs in the 30s and lows down into the 20s. Freezing fog and ice remains a possibility for untreated roads on the morning commute.
Thursday brings the next burst of moisture with a battle between snow and rain. Many valley locations will start with snow before the warmer moisture takes hold to bump up snow levels and temperatures. Expect rainy weather through most of the weekend other than at high mountains passes.
